10:58 am - On my top ten greatest movies of all time I know I haven't posted in a while. So sue me. Life has been busy and when I have a free minute I am much more prone to pick up the phone then write in here. But the experience I had last night was too amazing to not write about. As everyone probably already read in other diaries, I went to see Brokeback Mountain last night with the Weaver girls, Alison and Krista in Royal Oak. Yes, we drove an hour and a half to see a movie. It was worth every second in the car and more. The film was absoultely astounding. It has been an incredibly long time since a movie has lingered in my constant thoughts hours after it has finished. I just can't stop thinking about it. I honestly would contemplate driving there AGAIN to see it because I want to see it again immediately. I can say with absolute confidence that it is one of my top ten, even probably in the top five greatest movies I have ever seen. I know there are quite a few people who are skeptical about the film, but please, when it comes to a theater close to you. go and see it without any bias. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Thank you Ang Lee for reminding me what an amazing film truly is. We are so often submerged in shit I forget what a movie is really supposed to do to you.
Hopefully something will move me enough to write again soon. Current Mood: contemplative Current Music: Brokeback score

11:08 am - Because it has just been too damn long To start off, I never did my tag that Annie did on me ages ago so hear it is:
List 10 things that bring you a moment of joy. 1. Dinner with my family. 2. Ryan and Morgan 3. The fab4 4. Andrew and his crazy antics... 5. Spending time with my kids (at school of course!) 6. MOVIES 7. Six Feet Under...I can't get enough of the show lately. 8. Harry Potter...is anyone else as excited as I am to see Ray Fiennes as Voldemort? 9. The Rent preview...oh Annie...I wish you were going to be here when it comes out! 10. Food...especially On The Border...they can't get that thing built fast enough.
So my birthday was a few days ago. It was nice, fun, depressing and sad all simlutaneously. Getting older sucks...can't we just stay 21 forever?
On Friday we went out to Rum Runners on Al's 100 dollar gift certificate...here are some of the highlights:
1. Chris's amish beard being stroked by a drunk guy from Portland (purrrrrr, purrrrrr) HAHAHAHA 2. Dave licking my face with my immediate retort of "Dave Bisson on tongue" I didn't think we were ever going to stop laughing. 3. Andrew coming to the bar in his traditional Japanese outfit, including karate type top, poofy black pants and these bizarre black shoes that go between his two first toes, HILARIOUS! 4. JOY TO THE WORLD that is all that I have to say about that. ;) 5. Dancing with Krista, Al, Becky, and Andrew.
Good times.
Has anyone every felt totally depressed but happy simultaneously? Or am I the only psycho?
I'm out.

10:58 pm I don't really feel like writing but I just wanted to inform everyone that I am now an employee of the Holt Public School District. I got a job running the Washington Woods day care program. The money is pretty good and it allows me to sub, so if I can't have a real teaching job I think that this is the next best thing. So all in all I am pretty happy.

11:50 pm - T-minus 45 hours Oh joy of joys! TC2k5 is almost upon us... I can hardly contain myself I am so excited. In honor of this momentous occasion I feel it is necessary to reminisce on tc2k4 with a top five greatest moments list:
5. When Ryan, Dave and Chris invaded my bed and laid in it together (for visual look at above picture). :)
4. "I'm a catch. I can cook." says Annie while making TOAST. (Sorry Annie, that shit is too funny not to put into the top 5 :) )
3. Rachel making out with Dave the entire night. There is not one picture from tc2k4 without Rachel and Dave making out in the background. RIP single Rachel. :'(
2. Food disasters: First Alison and my EXTREME failure of attempting to make flaming dr. pepper shots and Al almost burning her fingers off by trying to light the armaretto on the top of the shot instead of the bacardi 151 that we stupidly put in the bottom of the glass. Secondly my almost burning the house down by making pizza rolls WASTED OFF MY ASS. No stove use this year my friends.
and finally, last BUT not least
1. The kiss heard round the world. The make out session to end all make out sessions: Dave lovingly carressing Chris's head while kissing him. Documented forever in photograph form.
What will happen this year? We don't have to wait too much longer... Current Mood: optimistic Current Music: Computer humming

11:01 pm - Chris, for christmas I am going to buy you a dash rake. HILARIOUS. Tonight Al and I headed to Champions to hang out with Brad and Chris. It was nice to see Brad as always and Chris is just a trip. While sitting in Champions Chris pulls out a fabric swatch for new coverings in his car. He then proceeds to discuss how he will be OCD about the material because he will want all the suede to lay one way...hence the title of this entry.
In other news...yeah...about that...my life is fairly pathetic and boring right now...
Saw Bad News Bears today and I thought it was really funny. I especially enjoyed the fact that it as a $3.50 movie at Celebration. It is the little things that make me happy now-a-days.
Spent part of the weekend up at Ryan's cottage. I wish I never had to come home. It is the one place that I can actually feel happy at for extended periods of time. Plus Ryan and Morgan are a bonus. Current Mood: depressed Current Music: Natasha Bedingfield "These Words"

12:12 pm - You need to get the bitches out of your way! While there were many options for a title for this particular entry, this one seemed the most appropriate. It will make more sense as the entry unfolds...
I finished summer school yesterday and started crying at our last sing-a-long. I don't think it was necessarily the end of summer school that was the problem as much as it was the fact that I don't know when I will be in a classroom again. That thought literally makes me want to cry right now....especially since I feel so alive when I am in the classroom...if I don't have it in my life I am afraid I am going to feel so empty that I will spiral into some deep dark place and not be able to get out.
Now that the dramatics are over...
The dog is settling in nicely. While it was a tricky start he seems to be getting how "domesticated" dogs live more and more each day. Larry took Rufus and Misty up with him this weekend and Morgan is getting along with them quite well. The poodles also taught him how to chew on a rawhide bone. He hasn't been able to figure it out. He knew it went in your mouth and you chewed on it, but he didn't get the concept that it needed to be held in his paws while doing this. Rufus stole Morgan's rawhide while he was in his crate, he saw Rufus with it and how ot should be chewed, stole it back from him and then began to chew on it himself. A great leap for dog kind all around.
So last night I went to the Fabulous Dollar (and by a "fabulous" I mean utterly craptastic) with Al and some of her work friends to see Tim's band "Blue Eyed Floozie". Many interesting things occurred....here are the highlights:
1. Latino dude who could barely speak a word of English was staring at me for approximately 2 hours. It was so creepy, I couldn't look anywhere toward the band because he was oggling so much...finally dude got the hint and walked. THANK GOD. 2. Went to the bathroom where I saw a woman with a tattoo of her children. Kids names were Devonte and Deanthony(Miranda is that second name correct?).....WTF 3. Was propositioned by a woman who wanted Al and I to "hit on" her guy friends, that she said "Everyone thinks are gay but really aren't" RIGHT 4. Yelled at by a 400 pound biotch wearing stretch white (translucent) carpi pants, and a SICK peach halter top. The conversation went something like this Leah: (minding her own business) Fat Peach: (comes up to Leah) I am so drunk! Are you partying? Are you having fun? Leah: Sure Fat Peach: Have you been dancing tonight? Leah: Yeah, a little. Fat Peach: Well, I want to inform you of something. You are teeny tiny. I am a big girl. When I go out and dance no one ever wants to dance with me, they only want to dance with the teeny tiny girls. I am a gorgeous girl...I am a catch! I'm a catch! I just want you to have a perspective on what it is like for me because you are teeny tiny and it is your fault. Leah: (Afraid to say fuck off because she could kill me with her bare hands) Fat Peach: Are you drinking tonight? Leah: NO, I'm DD. Fat Peach: Are any of these drinks yours? Leah: Yes. (points the cup that is 3/4 full) Fat Peach: DO you ever watch Oprah? Leah: Sometimes. Fat Peach: Do you know who Tracey Gold is? Leah: Yes, from Growing Pains. Fat Peach: Well, she totalled her car after two drinks with her children in the car with her. I want you to think about that when you get in the car tonight. Leah: (Nodding trying to get rid of her) Fat Peach: I am so fucking drunk right now. Wahoo!! (walks away) 5. Being verbally assaulted again by the fat peach (with the rest of the group in tow...about how you shouldn't go home with a guy unless he spends some money on you at the bar. "That they will get you knocked up, and even though you love your kids with all of your heart you never wanted them and there daddy is someone that you don't love. So don't go home with someone that doesn't show you the bills at the bar" WTF! Bitch then proceeds to hit on scary bus boy at bar and likely went home with him. 6. Walking out of the bar asked by a guy "Are you going home alone tonight?" Where I replied YES. 7. Stepped outside to see about 12 people participating in a drunken brawl. With one of the girls involved screaming "Get off of my son!" Who goes out with there son to the Dollar then gets in a bar fight?
All in all a very entertaing, informative and disturbing evening. I think I have my fill of the Dollar for a long time.
On the agenda today: A whole lot of nothing. If someone thinks of something interesting give me a call. :) Current Mood: crazy Current Music: Garage door closing

10:51 pm - I am the only loser who hasn't finished book 6 yet... So I feel like the only person alive that still hasn't finished The Half Blood Prince yet. I have wanted to read but I have been so busy the past few days...
Started off my day by cleaning my grandpa's house. Jammed out to an awesome 80's compilation cd that pretty much made the whole experience magical. After, I came home scarfed down some grub, and went to visit my grandpa in the hosiptal. He is doing better. Hopefully he will be able to leave the hospital sometime tomorrow. :-D! Then I ran over to Ryan's and he and I went to Jackson to visit his grandmother. It was nice.
Anyway, the rest of the evening has been spent finishing lessons for tomorrow and prepping three new resume packets to be sent out tomorrow. Please let all this hard work and money pay off!
I am spent, off to read a little HP6 before bed. If I am lucky I will finish it before book 7 comes out... Current Mood: productive Current Music: "Easy Lover" Phil Collins

11:31 pm - Til the next time I am so sad right now I feel like I could burst. I am so proud of Annie for going and trying something new, but I am selfish because I want her here.
Life is not going to be the same without her physical presence.
There's no day but today Annie, and you are embracing it.
I had a fabulous night tonight (even though it went to fast) and the movie turned out really well.
What else is there left to say? I feel like a piece of me is leaving for Nebraska tomorrow. Current Mood: sad

12:11 am - blah blah blah blah I am trying to be as up beat as possible but sometimes it is impossible.
1. I wish people got jobs based on merit and not because they have someone that is able to pull strings for them.
2. I wish I could fix certain relationships because it makes me sad that they are broken.
3. I wish I could keep all the people I love close to me.
4. I wish I could get out of this funk I am in.
5. I wish summer school didn't start tomorrow because the last thing I want to do is put work and effort into an environment that doesn't deem me worthy to teach in their district permanently.
6. I wish I could make people in my family better.
7. I wish we could all feel safe in the world we live in.
A whole lot of good wishing does. Current Mood: drained

11:03 am - Liquid from the lady loins So went out last night with the intention of being dd, but thanks to Jay was able to live it up and drink (again). LOL
I leanred many things last night, here are a few
1. Talking about oral sex never gets old, nor do the jokes. 2. Tippy cup 2k5 will be byoc (bring your own citrus) ;) 3. Certain foods boys eat can directly effect the taste of their "man juices" (thanks for that one dave)
Anyway, drunk dials were made, good times were had, alcohol was consumed and crazy conversation was the entertainment. Overall a quality night.
Damn it's fun being young.
I'm out. I think I have talked my mother into buying a coach purse. Must get ready to go to the mall (again) Current Mood: bouncy Current Music: "Dance with me" the JT

01:05 pm - When did it become ok to allow the galpagos giant into public bars? So I indeed had a fabulous evening out. Went to Crunchys to watch people slaughter 70's and 80's classics on karaoke. It was vastly entertaining. I only hope that I am not that humiliating when I sing karaoke. :-P
While at Crunchy's saw (and hid) from ex-boyfriend (?) Johnny sickness. The only joy I got out of seeing him was that he was with the most grotesque looking human (?) girl (??) I have ever seen in my 22 (almost 23) years of existence. It was disgusting. She was a literal giant with about 3 feet of dark fifties bee-hive style quaff splattered on her head. She brought joy to my heart.
I am going to hell.
Did learn that Crunchy's has some kick ass drink specials. Lets just say I took full advantage of said specials and had 1 long island (25 oz.) for 5 bucks. I had a fantastic (cheap) buzz going on. It was fabulous. Must go to Crunchy's more often.
Off to go shopping with my mom. Free lunch is key. Maybe I can talk her into buying me something fabulous.
I have decided to integrate fabulous into my everyday vocabulary. I encourage others to join me. :)

09:27 pm - FABULOUS So Alison and I have decided that we are doing something fabulous tonight. What that is has yet to be decided but I know we weill come up with something awesome.
I have been thinking about life a lot lately and how it is to short to care about the past. Live and love in the now and forgive the little things. Some of the bitterness and sadness I carry around for certain people needs to just be let go. It isn't worth it.
Apologies for being so thoughtful on a Friday evening.
Remember when Friday nights were a time to get wasted?
It needs to be tippy cup 2K5 stat.

10:31 am - Common Ground (BABY BABY!) So I know it's been about 10,000 years since my last entry, but I am a VERY busy girl. I mean movies aren't going to watch themselves!
LOL
On that pathetic life note I want to make sure that people are buying Common Ground tickets. I plan on buying my week pass tomorrow. Concerts I am for sure going to are John Legend, Gavin DeGraw and Journey. I don't want to go by myself though... let me know!
Saw "Land of the Dead" last night. A quality zombie flick. I highly recommend it. If it goes to discount Tuesday I could be talked into going again. I am just throwing it out there ;)
Hope everyone is having a fabulous day. I am off to run errands with Ryan...later! Current Mood: energetic

06:48 pm - A gestapo of child hating freaks!!!! So I was watching a little John Mangopolous last night and I have decided that the man is the anti-christ. He was going off about how American women are evil and how we only get married to have kids with the "innocent men" than divorce them solely for the child support check. WTF!!! He also went off about child protective services and how they are "A gestapo of child hating freaks". OK I'm pretty sure the only group of people that can get that title are Nazis, Hutu Rwandans and child abusers. The man is clearly insane. I think the only reason I watch him is because he so freakin' fascinating. When I find his program I can't help but watch. I know, I am a strange bird.
So one of my students almost killed me yesterday...LOL. Cyndi was teaching her one lesson of the day and he was rudely talking to his neighbor. So I walked up behind him and went to touch his back to get his attention, when he, deciding that he was done talking to his neighbor flung his head back inadvertantly smashing his skull into my forehead/eye region. After regaining my vision, he was perfusely apologizing, but I was in such a state of shock of the virtual concussion I couldn't even respond to him. It was a complete accident but hurt like hell regardless. If it hadn't been my very favorite student I would probably have pressed charges but you know me, I let things slide.
Well I am off to make 60 cupcakes for the "100th day of school" celebration. Math is going to be super fun tomorrow. God, I really need to reclaim my life...I am SUPER lame. That is what happens when you live and breath for fifth graders.
God I love it...

11:30 pm - I suck So I figured it was time for another entry since it has been an ion since I last wrote. Really though, is there anything exciting that actually occurs in my life? Not really.
I am a little obsessed with Lost. It is truly out of control. It starts and I am truly mezmorized by the television. It is a sick, twisted obsession. Damn you J.J.
In essence with our Napoleon Dynamite characters, I posted a picture of Summer Wheatley, because really, who wants to eat chiminichangas next year? Not me.

06:25 pm - A machine on autopilot So I know that it has been ions since my last entry but since I spend a good 3 hours a day working on the computer, the last think I want to do is write more on the computer...LOL
So things have been good, but insanely busy. My internship is the most intense thing I have ever done in my life. It doesn't matter how much I accomplish in a day there is always more that needs to be done. I unfortunately can never be satisified with the work I accomplish because I know there is several more hours of work that still needs to be done. And that is my life in a nut shell. Get up, go to Whitehills for 9-11 hours depending on the day, come home, eat dinner then do about 4-6 hours of work depending on the day. Then I go to bed. So is my life. Oddly enough I totally love what I am doing, I just wish I had more time for myself. I guess there is a reason why teachers get the summers off...LOL
I am so excited though because I have decided to give myself a break for the night and do nothing else. So I am off for a walk with my mom and then Ryan is coming over for a little Surreal Life. :-D
Hopefully it won't be so long for the next one...

03:24 pm - The streak is over!!! So the streak has finally ended! The thought of being able to sleep in tomorrow is so amazing, I can hardly believe it's true...
So today was my last day at Wilcox and it was sad. Even though I have only worked with these kids for a month I have become very attached to them. I almost cried but refrained, reminding myself how shitty they had been all last week...LOL...they were a great group of kids though...I hope they are able to get the help they need.
So tonight is another awesome night at BW3. I get to drink tonight which makes the whole evening even more key to life...Mark is coming so it should make the night even more interesting...

So I have this extremely complicated male situation and have no idea what to do. To sum it up I DONT KNOW. I need help, any ideas???

07:47 pm - 8 down 23 to go... So day 8 of my work month has come to a close. While I am working every day, I positively love being in the classroom, which makes it worth it. Today was my first day back at Flap since I have been teaching and it totally reaffirmed how much I HATE it there. Only 2 more months...I have to remind myself of this about 25 times a shift...it is the only way it gets me through.
Went to Ricks last night with the crew and had an awesome time. I had to leave early though because of teaching this morning (balls!) the real world sucks sometimes. Going out again tomorrow night with Tiffany and possibly the Fab and I totally intend to drink it up good. I have to be at Flap at 7 on saturday but who cares...it's not like I haven't done it before... :)
So I got this really weird email from Andrew today...it was all over the place and didn't make a whole lot of sense. He told me he had had a total of 5 hours of sleep in the past three days...that mixed with his personality could be a lethal combination...
I can barely sit up I am so tired...if I make it an hour it will be a miracle.
